Chapter 109
1 But that these things are true, and that they have been made manifest to the servants of God, let us demonstrate in yet another way as well.
2 For Scripture in no way lies at all, nor does the Holy Spirit lead astray the servants of God, the prophets, through whom it was pleased to announce the counsel of God to mankind, so that, seeing these things come to pass, we may not be tripped up, nor be troubled as though we beheld them as strange events.
3 For in no other way can the consummation come upon this world, except thus.
4 For just as in the case of Sodom, when their transgressions were filled up, the fire at once came down upon them and they perished, so also it shall be now: when lawlessness has been multiplied in the world, and the present iron beast is divided into the ten horns, and there come about disorders and discords, as different men tear the kingdom apart in different directions, then the end shall come upon them.
