Chapter 10

¹ Since, according to your prayer and according to the compassion you have in Christ Jesus, it was reported to me that the Church in Antioch of Syria is at peace, it is fitting for you as a Church of God to ordain a deacon to go there as God’s ambassador, so that he may rejoice with them when they are gathered together and glorify the name.

² Blessed in Jesus Christ is the one who will be counted worthy of such a ministry, and you too will be glorified. It is not impossible for you, if you are willing, for the name of God—just as the nearest Churches sent bishops, and others sent presbyters and deacons.
