To glorify, to show oneself glorious, or (in the passive) to be held in honor. In the LXX it frequently renders Hebrew כָּבֵד (nifal/hithpael) and related forms, describing God's self-manifestation of glory, as when the Lord 'is glorified' through the overthrow of Pharaoh (Exod 14:4, 17–18).
