And all the earth was one lip and one voice to all (Genesis 11).

Concerning the single race of men and their one descent, the Holy Scripture speaks with us, which also speaks of the manner of the multiplication of languages and of the distinction of races. The testimony of the Holy Scripture for all believers is divinely inspired testimony and faithful and beyond all doubt; but for those who reject faith and seek empirical testimonies and proofs and persuasions, the testimony of the Holy Scripture is insufficient. Therefore to satisfy those spirits rejecting faith and persuaded by science and knowledge, we will occupy ourselves with the scientific development of the question, so that we may prove the validity of the truth of Sacred Scripture, and lift all doubt about it, by removing the foundation of deception upon which they rest.
