The Chief Apostles, Witnesses of His Godhead
1 11. Hence he takes to himself the chief among the apostles as witnesses of his own glory, and he reveals to them his own Godhead. And it is fitting that those who behold the divine glory be perfect—that glory which is beyond all things, the only and supremely perfect and pre-perfect.
