The Synod Affirms the Communion of the Eastern Thrones

¹ And after the reading of ⟦the⟧ letters to our Christ-loving emperor, the holy synod cried out: ⟦We know⟧ that the thrones of the East never stood apart from the communion of the most holy patriarch Photios. Wherefore we gladly accept the vote brought forward by them, and now also confirmed; those who do not so think we account as strangers to God. Yet we shall hear also the letter to our most holy patriarch. And Peter, the most God-beloved deacon and protonotary, taking it, read it.
