Prokopios on the Concord Concerning the Seventh Council

1 Prokopios the most God-beloved archbishop of Caesarea in Cappadocia said: Blessed be God, who through the goodness and boundless compassion of the most holy patriarch made [him] of one voice, concerning the [reckoning of] times, with Alexander and Tarasius the holy patriarchs of Constantinople, and with the holy churches everywhere. And the holy Church of the Romans now [confirms] her doctrines in agreement with us, and proclaims to the rest of the holy [synods] [the Seventh Council] together with them, so that henceforth no ambiguity remains from this quarter.

2 Thus he rejoices at their concord and * agreement; and let this holy and ecumenical synod also call to mind that, in the letter which the most holy pope sent to our holy emperor, certain chapters were set forth, which we wish to be read once more before your holiness, so that your holy assembly may give its agreement to the said chapters. The holy synod said: Let them be read. Peter the most God-beloved deacon and protonotary took them and read.
