Third Session
1 THIRD ACTION
2 On the nineteenth of the month of November, the fifth day, in the thirteenth indiction. While Photios, our most holy patriarch, presided in the right part of the catechumena of the most holy great Church of God, and there sat together with him the most holy legates of elder Rome and of the priestly thrones of the East; and, moreover, the most God-loving metropolitans—I mean Prokopios of Caesarea, Gregory of Ephesus, John of Heraclea, and all those mentioned in the preceding action—Peter, the most God-fearing presbyter and cardinal, said to the holy synod: Most pious hierarchs and fellow-ministers, you surely remember that we spoke at the preceding session of bringing before you the letter sent to your holiness from the most holy pope; ⟦we have now fulfilled⟧ this promise. And if it is agreeable to your holiness, let it be read before you. And taking it, Peter the most God-loving deacon and protonotary read it.
