Codex 5
[Sophronius]
Read also the attack of Sophronius[1] on Eunomius in defence of St. Basil. His style isclearer and more concise than that of Theodore. He does not traverse all the arguments of Eunomius, but chiefly attacks and refutes those which appear to contain the most essential points of his heresy. The style is aphoristic, the language in general free and simple [2] and not disagreeable, although embellished with over-laboured arguments.
