We believe all things to be governed by the ‘ providence of God, which we ought to adore, but not to curiously pry into, as being above our comprehension ; nor are we able of ourselves to accurately attain unto the compre- hension of the reasons thereof. Wherefore, concerning this matter, we feel we ought rather in humility to observe silence than to indulge unedifyingly in vain discourse.
