114. Jesus in the House of Martha and Mary. Lk. 10:38–42

Now in the course of their journey—the Lord and His disciples through Galilee—the Lord Jesus came to a certain village; and a woman named Martha received Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the feet of the Lord Jesus and listened to His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up and said: Lord! Do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me. The Lord Jesus answered her: Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; but one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.
