190. On the Way to the Mount of Olives: the Prediction of the Temple’s Fate. Mt. 24:1–2; Mk. 13:2; Lk. 21:5–6

Then the Lord Jesus came out from the treasury and was leaving the temple. And His disciples came up to point out to Him the buildings of the temple; and one of them said to Him, ‘Teacher, look—what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!’ And others were speaking of the temple, saying that it was adorned with beautiful stones and with votive offerings.

The Lord Jesus said to them, ‘Do you see all these great buildings? Truly I tell you, there will come days when not one stone will be left upon another; everything will be thrown down.’
