32. Arrival in Galilee and Passing by Nazareth. Mt. 4:13; Lk. 4:14; Jn. 4:44, 45
And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit. When He came into Galilee, the Galileans received Him with honor, having seen all that He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they too had been at the feast.
When Jesus entered Galilee, He left His own hometown of Nazareth and, passing through it, set out to Capernaum to dwell there permanently. For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
(Cana was on the way, so the Lord entered it, and this was why the royal official came here from Capernaum.)
