Here is a word from Saint Isaac the Syrian – for the case of coldness and lack of feeling! “Do not be troubled in mind and do not yield your hand to soul-sickness, but endure – read the books of the teachers, compel yourself to prayer – and wait for help. It will come soon, sooner than you know.[1]”20
