Don’t Be a Slave to the Rule

You can arrange the prayer rule yourself. Memorize the prayers you read, and read them from memory with understanding and feeling. And insert your own prayer alongside; the less you depend on the book, the better. Memorize several psalms, and when you go somewhere or do something else and your mind is not occupied, read them. This is conversation with God. The rule should be in your free will. Don’t be a slave to it.
