God Cannot Be Represented in Images
The question “When I stand in my heart, is it necessary there to form some images: the Trinity or something else?” answers itself. If you stand before the Lord without his image, what other images would be fitting? They could not even appear: God the Trinity has no image. To represent him in images is neither possible nor proper. The Lord Savior, in his incarnate dispensation, has human form; but you must stand before him without images, in the awareness of his presence alone.
