Meditation on God or the Jesus Prayer

You can replace meditation on God with the Jesus Prayer, but what need is there? They are one and the same. Meditation on God is the holding in the mind of some truth: the incarnation, the crucifixion, the resurrection, omnipresence, and so forth, without any particular direction of the mind.
