On Spiritual Delusion

Your fear of spiritual delusion is also justified. There is intellectual delusion—this is self-conceit; there is external delusion—lights, sounds, various apparitions. Spit on all of it… it is from the enemy. A demon appeared to someone and started crying: “Christ is coming, Christ is coming!” He said to it: “Get away, wicked delusion! Christ will not come to me: for I am exceedingly sinful”—and the demon vanished.
