On the Importance of Going to Church

Going to church is the very best means for opening a prayerful spirit, whereby the heart cannot dare to harden.

Church prayer is better than domestic prayer. The church is your consolation. Thanks be to the Lord, who grants you to feel the blessing of remaining in church. Saint John of Gold-tongue recalls that one may pray at home too; but to pray as one does in church cannot be done at home.
