Chapter 4
Prayer as Fruit and Attractor of the Spirit
The grace of the Holy Spirit is with us from the moment of Baptism and Chrismation. Church prayers, home prayers, the labors of ascetic practice and good deeds — develop this gift and give it room to act in us. The best means for this is prayer of the heart, which itself should be considered a fruit of the Spirit and at the same time an attractor of the Spirit. In this sense, the church’s prayer to the Holy Spirit is also an attractor of the Spirit.
