On the Labor of Engaging in the Jesus Prayer

^99.2.1 The mercy of God be with you!

^99.3.1 You have done well to resolve to practice the Jesus Prayer as you should. Zeal and labor will overcome all things. Pray to the Lord that He may help you in this. By your own labors, you can only learn to repeat this prayer unceasingly. And the Lord will plant it in the very heart. This last is the principal work; and the first is only a vestibule.

^99.4.1 God’s blessing upon the nun. Give her the commandment to take up the Jesus Prayer without delay. Let her work, and let her turn the name of the Lord, hold it on her tongue, in her intellect and heart.[1]
