Chapter 151

1 Now the prophet, having recounted the things that had already come to pass and were fulfilled in their own times, proclaims to us another mystery, giving an indication of the last times.

2 For he speaks thus: “And another king shall arise, shameless, and he shall be exalted above every god and shall magnify himself and shall speak monstrous things, and he shall prosper until the wrath is accomplished; for it comes to fulfillment. And to every god of his fathers he shall give no heed, nor to the desire of women, and to no god shall he give heed, because he shall magnify himself above all. And he shall glorify the god Maozeim in his place, and a god whom his fathers did not know he shall glorify with gold and silver and precious stone, and he shall multiply glory and shall subject many to them and shall divide the land for gifts. And these shall be saved out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the chief of the sons of Ammon. And he shall stretch out his hand upon the land, and the land of Egypt shall not be a deliverance; and he shall have dominion over the hidden stores of gold and silver and over all the desirable things of Egypt and of the Libyans and the Ethiopians in their strongholds. And he shall pitch his tent, Ephadano, between the seas, on the holy mountain Sabir, and he shall come even to its border.”
