Chapter 4
1 When, therefore, the whole people had been deported and the city laid waste, and the sanctuary torn down, that the word of the Lord might be fulfilled which he spoke through the mouth of Jeremiah the prophet, that the sanctuary should be desolate for seventy years, we find the blessed Daniel prophesying in Babylon and becoming the vindicator of Susanna.
