Chapter 42
1 Having heard these things, Nebuchadnezzar, reminded of the dream, recognized that the things spoken by Daniel would indeed be true, and falling upon his face he did obeisance to Daniel, and commanded that a meal offering and fragrant incense be poured out to him
2 How great is the power of the grace of God, beloved, that the one who a little before was about to be slain with the rest of the wise men of Babylon—him the king, falling down, should worship no longer as a man but as a god! And he commanded that a meal offering and fragrant incense be poured out to him.
3 For of old the Lord promised the like to Moses also, saying: “Behold, I have made you a god to Pharaoh,” so that through the signs done by him in Egypt Moses might no longer be reckoned a man, but be worshipped as a god by the Egyptians.
