Subscription of John of Heraclea and the Rest

1 I, John, by the mercy of God metropolitan of Heraclea, agreeing in all things with this holy and ecumenical synod, both for the acceptance of Photios the most holy patriarch, and for the rejection of all who write or speak against him; ratifying also the holy and ecumenical council held at Nicaea the second time, I have signed with my own hand.

2 And thereafter all the hierarchs by name, who are designated at the beginning of the acts, each signed the like with his own hand. After the signing, the holy synod, sending up many thanksgivings to God, the cause of good things, and to the emperors, for the things that had come to pass, made acclamation: Many be the years of the emperors! Of Basil, Leo, and Alexander, the great emperors and autocrats, many be the years! Of Eudokia, the most pious Augusta, many be the years! Of Stephen the Porphyrogenitus, and God-promoted syncellus, many be the years! Of John and Photios, the most holy patriarchs, many [years]!
