[Acts of the Fourth Council - Chalcedon]
XVII Read the Actsof the fourth council[1] in several books. There were fifteen sessions, at which Dioscorus [2]and Eutyches [3]were condemned, and Nestorius excommunicated. St. Flavian[4]was declared innocent after his death, together with Eusebius of Dorylaeum,[5] Theodoret [6] and Ibas.[7] Other special matters were discussed, and the spirit of piety was strengthened.
