Division

The Epistle has the customary divisions of those written by Saint Paul—a preface (Col. 1:1–11)—and a postscript (Col. 4:7–18)—between which are placed doctrinal (Col. 1:12–29, 2:1–23)—and moral teaching (Col. 3:1–25, 4:1–6) sections. More detailed subdivisions will proceed in the course of the Commentary.
