242. Women at the Tomb on Saturday Evening. Mt. 28:1; Mk. 16:1

After the Sabbath had passed, as the first day of the week was beginning, according to the ecclesiastical order, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary (the wife of James) came to see the tomb. After returning to the city, where Salome joined them, they bought spices, so that they might go in the morning to anoint the Lord Jesus.
