Frequent Remembrance of God Without Reverence Deprives of Spiritual Fruits

Regarding noetic prayer, keep one precaution: in frequent remembrance of God, do not forget to kindle reverent fear and the impulse to fall in dust before the face of God, the most merciful Father, yet also the awesome Judge. Frequent remembrance of God without reverence dulls the feeling of God’s fear and through this deprives it of that saving action which belongs to it among spiritual movements and which nothing else can produce.
