Chapter 154

One Must Repent Continuously

...There is no moment when someone does not have something on their conscience—whether willing or unwilling, and therefore there is no moment when peace with God is not troubled in them... Consequently, one must repent continuously. For repentance washes every stain from the soul and makes it clean.
