Chapter 83

The Grace-filled Mind is Always Gathered, Quick to Understand and Discerning, Illumined by Truth

When prayer has sunk into the heart and overshadowed it with warmth, then the mind is always gathered and present to itself, from which it becomes quick to understand and discerning. From this time all the truths of revelation begin to enter the heart, each in its own time, as if suddenly, in the form of illumination. (16, 228)
