Yet Another Rule: Frequently, With Doubling and Tripling

It is desirable for you to unite your mind with the thought of the Lord. The best means to this is the habit of the Jesus Prayer, as written above. Set yourself to stand three or four times a day before the icons to perform this prayer with reverence and with the vision of the Lord before you, and each time perform it 100, 200, 300 times, according to your strength. Having set this time, do not change it. Your thought the whole day will see ahead — soon I must stand again. And the Lord will be near. (9, 52)
