Chapter 133

For Some Quickly, for Others Not Quickly

Know that the noetic-and-heartfelt prayer comes into the heart for some quickly, and for others not quickly. I know of three people: for one it came as soon as it was told, in that very hour; for another it came after six months; for a third — after ten months; and for one great elder — after two years. And why this happens thus — only God knows. (10, 228)
